Often compared to a biscuit or a cookie… but truly, Chin Chin is in a category of its own.  Across cultures, people try Chin Chin and say,

From Shakarpara in India to Khurma in the Caribbean and beyond, it may be called by different names — but the feeling is the same. Because food has always had one purpose: to bring us together.

I grew up in Cameroon, where Chin Chin was present at every celebration. Weddings. Birthdays. Christmas. Family gatherings. But what I remember most isn’t just the taste… It’s the feeling. Making it with my mother, my aunts, my sisters — laughing, sharing stories, and yes… sneaking pieces from my mother’s bed before the big day. Let’s just say… we’ll call that a “mischief tradition.” And now? My kids are proudly following in my footsteps.  Some traditions are taught. Others… are caught. When I moved to Canada, I carried those memories with me. The taste. The joy. The feeling of home. And I realized something: Chin Chin is more than a snack.

It’s memory. It’s culture. It’s connection. So, I created All African Delights to share that feeling with you. Each recipe is thoughtfully crafted to evoke an experience — from comfort and nostalgia to brightness and discovery. Each flavour tells its own story.
